Pogled s margine/Margin View

Margin View/Pogled s margine

Small flock of sheep from Rijeka surroundings is temporarily stationed on the pier, and it can remind us of many things, among others on the permanence of the archaic.
This work partly came into existance by contemplating the idea of habituation to view the sea, the view which is, typically for Rijeka, intertwined with industrial landscape.
Insofar, the very place of installing this 'temporary public sculpture' I find significant. It is an important spot in public space of the town centre, where we are facing 'pure' sea view for the first time, and that view, most probably did not change much for the last few centuries (the same as sheep). When we climb up the stairs of the pier, we can frame our view towards the sea, or towards the post-industrial city.
We can enter and walk into the sculpture which also represents kind of 'parasite object' and 'transition shape', placed 'on the edge' of the pier and allocated on the margin, allowing us to picture a different pespective of the town, by looking trough between-spaces of the segmented form.
